** SERIOUS MVA WITH EXTRICATION**

Location: Route 100 South of Twin Knolls
Description: Somers Fire/EMS dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. While enroute a NYSP unit on location requested an expedite due to the serious nature of the accident. Car 2441 and 80B4 arrived to find a 4 car accident with multiple patients and heavy damage to 2 vehicles. Westchester EMS paramedics and Somers EMS personnel began triaging patients. Two serious patients were found in one car that required extrication to remove. Upon the arrival of Rescue 20 Somers members quickly began working on the extrication and had it completed in short order. All of the patients were transported to a local trauma center and all units cleared the scene after approximately an hour. Mutual aid ambulances were requested to the scene to help with transporting patients. Mutual aid ambulances also covered two additional EMS calls in the Somers district during this time.
