Beginning at 6:00pm on 7/4/21 the following roads will be closed:

YONKERS POLICE DEPARTMENT: Due to the 4th of July fireworks display at the downtown waterfront, there will be several road closures the public should be aware of.

Beginning at 6:00pm on 7/4/21 the following roads will be closed:

• Pierpointe Street, Water Grant Street, Peene Lane in their entirety

• Main Street from Buena Vista Avenue to the Hudson River

• Alexander Street from Main Street to Ashburton Avenue

• Dock Street and Wells Avenue west of River Street

• Nepperhan Street from Buena Vista Avenue to Warburton Avenue

Beginning at 7:00pm 7/4/21 the following roads will be closed:

• Buena Vista Avenue from Main Street to Dock Street

• Dock Street in its entirety

The above roads will be closed until approximately 11:00pm on 7/4/21.

Residents who live in the affected area who are planning to travel during these times are advised to park their vehicles elsewhere as they will not be able to move their vehicles once the closures are in effect.

Those not coming to enjoy the fireworks are advised to avoid the area due to the expected congestion on surrounding roads.

Also be advised that bags/coolers are prohibited on the waterfront area for the duration of the event.
