Mike Khader's supporters say he is is a man who puts a fresh perspective on how to meet the challenges of now and the future.

Mike Khader often says is inspired by the incredible potential of our city, and wants to ensure that Yonkers remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

As City Council President, Mike Khader has prioritized quality of life and environmental issues, education, government transparency, affordable housing reform, and protection of Yonkers taxpayers, tenants and homeowners.

He is a Yonkers homeowner who understands the difficulties our residents are faced with.

And he’s a product of public schools and a proud public school parent and is particularly concerned with the ongoing to fight to ensure that Yonkers Public Schools are fully funded by New York State.

Mike Khader is a proud graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1994.

He later attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice and went on to earn his law degree from Western New England School of Law.

And he now has a law office in Yonkers.

However, after 9/11, Mike Khader decided to lay aside his successful law career to serve the public in one of the greatest honors of his life – working in the Central Intelligence Agency’s National Clandestine Service and obtaining a top secret clearance.

Following his service in the CIA, Mike Khader returned to Yonkers where he resumed his legal career with the love and support of his wife Rana and three beautiful children Melania, Maroun, and JohnPaul.

He says he wants what we all want for Yonkers. but adds that we are face mounting challenges in our city’s ability to meet its basic services: ensuring safe streets, providing top quality schools, creating jobs, protecting seniors and improving our quality of life.

But, Mike Khader is eager to step up to these challenges.

He says he knows how to stand up in a fight, and will always put Yonkers values first.
